Barbadians and visitors alike are in for a special treat at
the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Barbados’ Pre-Season Evening of Music and
Entertainment at Holders Great House, St. James, on Saturday 10th March 2007.
Featured at the annual fundraising event will be the Caribbean's most celebrated
musical group, The Merrymen, along with the Barbados Defence Force Band.
The Merrymen, with a career spanning four decades, have
captivated audiences all over the world with their infectious Caribbean music.
They have appeared at major concert halls around the world, from Madison Square
Garden, Carnegie Hall and The Half Time Super Bowl Show, to London's Albert
Hall, Festival Hall and Trafalgar Square.
The delightful EVENING OF MUSIC UNDER THE STARS begins at 7
p.m., and funds raised from the sale of tickets will go to assist the Cardiac
Disease Prevention and Rehabilitation programme of the Foundation.
During the interval there will be an auction, also to raise funds to assist with
the Foundation’s on-going programmes and projects, with items kindly donated by
a number of businesses and individuals, including Royal Westmorland, Cobblers
Cove Hotel, Treasure Beach Hotel, Bougainvilla Beach Resort, Standard
Distributors, DaCosta Mannings, Accra Beach Hotel and Nari’s. A complimentary
glass of wine will be served during the interval.
Admission is $50.00, and tickets are available at The Heart
Foundation of Barbados, Jemmott’s Lane, also A&B Music Supplies, Sheraton,
Treasure Beach Hotel and Holders Box Office.

performing their great hits that have topped international charts, along with
the stirring and refreshing sounds of the Barbados Defence Force Band at Holders
Great House on March 10th.
